What Is Amazon Project Kuiper?
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s initiative to launch a constellation of more than 3,200 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, designed to deliver fast, affordable broadband internet to underserved and remote areas worldwide. The goal is to bridge the digital divide by bringing reliable connectivity to the places that need it most.
With purpose-built infrastructure and terminals, Project Kuiper is designed to support consumers, businesses, schools, hospitals, and first responders. The system is backed by Amazon’s global logistics, AWS infrastructure, and long-term commitment to scaling technology access worldwide.

- Standard Terminal: Around 11 inches square, supports speeds up to 400 Mbps
- Compact Terminal: Around 7 inches, ultra-portable and affordable, up to 100 Mbps
- High-Bandwidth Terminal: ~19 x 30 inches, built for enterprises, governments, and telecom, supports 1 Gbps+
